"Tra-digital" Experience

With over two decades of “tra-digital” visual and UX design experience and design team leadership, Paul has delivered award-winning, delightful and compelling experiences for brands of all sizes, across various industries. In addition to his deep knowledge and experience in brand visual identity and evolution, he is passionate about Design Thinking, user advocacy, designing for emotion, metrics-driven design decisions, business value of design, outcomes over output, emerging technologies and connecting the physical and digital worlds ("phy-gital"). 

 

Paul also coaches and mentors the next generation of design leaders in his work with Amazing Design People (adplist.org). ADPList inspires powerful conversations and collaborations among designers worldwide so together we can change the world with creativity. In addition, Paul is a founding cohort member of Punks & Pinstripes -- a private network of badass transformation executives. Because it takes a rebel to change a company. Currently, Paul is the Vice President of SCADpro, Savannah College of Art and Design's in-house design, research and innovation studio, generating new ideas and products for the world's most influential brands — including Google, Amazon, Apple, Walmart, NASA, David Yurman, Deloitte, Delta, BMW, Volvo, Uber, Mayo Clinic, The Home Depot, P&G and Chik-fil-A.

My work, including The Home Depot mobile app, has appeared in numerous media outlets, national television spots and Apple WWDC keynotes. My perspective on the value of design has appeared in various research organizations, industry related publications and podcasts.
