Outcomes

The team from KICK Consultancy conducted research through competitive analysis, interviews, empathy mapping,  ideation workshops, and prototyped key features to address user needs. The outcome is a human-centered design that prioritizes safety, accessibility, and engagement, complemented by a unified brand identity across multiple channels, driving sustainable social impact and amplifying silenced voices.

The Creative Stepping Stone

As the Vice President of SCADpro, Savannah College of Art and Design's in-house design, research and innovation studio, I led the business development team to generate more than 80+ industry-sponsored projects per year, pairing innovative companies with the brightest creative students, alumni, and professors.

SCADpro is the stepping stone for students into their creative professions. SCADpro students are the designers, thinkers, and influencers of tomorrow. We integrate multiple disciplines, offering partners innovative concepts and solutions. We research, develop, and deliver polished and professional results all within an academic setting.

The acquisition of Fair by Shift was crucial in building out the 'Amazon used car marketplace' vision, accelerating Shift's roadmap and enabling them to launch this new capability in Q2 2022. Our team, talent, technology, and deeply established dealer relationships at Fair were key to the deal and successful exit in May, 2022.

Fair Homepage

At Fair, my team built an end-end e-commerce marketplace that provided more inventory and a local dealer network that empowered consumers with quicker fulfillment through delivery or pickup. This is the homepage from our MVP.

How Shift Marketplace Works

At Shift, we built the ‘Amazon of the used car marketplace’ that includes 1P (1st party) and 3P (3rd party) cars. The purpose of this page is to provide context, explain to users how the marketplace works, provide visibility into inventory, establish trust, guide people to shop an easy experience and drive off into the sunset.

Augmented Reality

The Home Depot partnered with Apple on the first version of AR Kit in 2017 and released our MVP in 2018 with a few thousand skus. We expanded the capability to 40,000 skus and graduated AR from the app to mobile web The feature has proven to lift engagement and conversion as consumers spend more time shopping on their phones. Consumers who engage with Home Depot’s augmented reality feature typically convert two-to three-times higher than those who don’t use it

The Home Depot Apple Business Chat

The Home Depot was one of the first retailers to use the beta version of Apple Business Chat which enables users to communicate directly with businesses through a native iPhone and iPad function, with no need to download a separate application or set up an additional account. This work was featured in Apple's WWDC in 2018.

The B2B Pro Experience tailors offerings to the more complex needs of the building professional.

The Home Depot Pro Loyalty App

Heavy duty rewards for the Pro Customer at The Home Depot. The Pro Xtra Loyalty app launched to four markets in 2020 which provides members-only benefits, discounts and perks.

Voice Search

Customers can speak to the Home Depot app as they do a smart assistant. Using voice technology powered by Google’s Dialogflow, the app can understand conversational questions and commands and deliver better, more relevant search results. The app can also search through the more than 1 million items on homedepot.com using text, barcodes or images.

The Home Depot Project Color App

The Home Depot ‘Project Color’ app allows users to find the perfect paint color for an interior or exterior paint project, a 2019 W³ Award Gold Winner. In 2019, Project Color launched with a brand-new Pinterest Integration which allows Pinterest and Project Color app users to import boards from the Pinterest App and browse paint colors based on pins in their boards.

Dressbar

At Dressbarn, we created a new vertical for the fresh-faced customer who loves a well-fit dress. DRESSBAR is a partnership with top notch designers – Carmen Marc Valvo, Adrianna Papell and Heidi Weisel. DRESSBAR is a blend of commerce and rich editorial content, built through a custom Wordpress theme. It offers customers a dress for every occasion and content covering fashion, style tips and pop culture.

Viacommunity

Viacommunity Report looks at the social responsibility shared by Viacom's portfolio of brands and how it's translated into concrete action and measurable results. Thanks to our Agile approach, the resulting product reflects the best practices of responsive UX design producing an optimal experience across desktop, tablet and mobile. The site was an Official Honoree for the 2014 Webby Awards and a Silver Winner in the 2014 PromaxBDA Awards for Art Direction & Design for a handheld device.

Inspirational Leader Program Site

A responsive Wordpress site design for the Inspirational Leader Program (ILP). The ILP is designed to embed the Viacom Leadership Framework as a distinct leadership brand that drives individuals, as well as the organization, forward.

yourAVON Mobile App

An "Oscar Goes To..." Agile moment when Paul and his team prototyped, designed and launched the “yourAvon Mobile” app. yourAvon Mobile was a Top 5 Free Business app in iTunes and a Top 15 Free Business app in Google Play, driving $6MM+ in revenue, 160K+ downloads and 500+ five-star reviews.
