Marketing Today

Culture is a feeling, culture is not about bagels in your breakroom, BS energy drinks in your fridge, cool furniture and ping-pong tables. Culture is how your stomach feels on a Sunday night before you go back to work.

If you're not pissing people off, then you're not innovating.

The Strategy Skills Podcast

If you want to create real change, you have to change the way people think, not just the way they behave. That was the win at The Home Depot -- changing mindsets, behaviors, how we solved problems and going and teaching business units how to be creative, again. That positions a creative team in a much different way where we create influence, impact and business value.

Product Mastery

The "WIIFM", what's in it for me, is that we are providing value in different ways through design and design thinking. Value has different currencies, we are teaching companies how to be creative again with outcomes and ROI.

The Frictionless Experience

Present the outcome over the idea. You have to communicate in terms of outcomes AND the effect you want them to have on the impact the leader cares about.

The power of outcome based thinking is that the work should map to specific KPIs or OKRs. Designers have to be able to show the math, articulate the outcomes, whether that’s through implicit or relative ROI.

Reinforce the conversation through data and research because the data will set you free.
